Find-A-Record Browser Extension

The Find-A-Record browser extensions make it easier to use Find-A-Record by connecting to your tree in FamilySearch.org.

  1. Install the extension.
  2. Visit an ancestor's page in the FamilySearch tree. Try Abraham Lincoln.
  3. The Find-A-Record pin will appear in the upper-right side of the browser. In Chrome it will be in the address bar next to the bookmark star icon. In Firefox it will be in the toolbar to the left of the Home button.
    Google Chrome
    Firefox
  4. You will be taken to the Find-A-Record Research Assistant with your ancestor as the starting person. Find-A-Record will start finding research opportunities for your ancestor and their relatives.

Watch the demo to see how it works.
